Oozing Hip-ness

Spudly gets lots of attention when we do our regular grocery shopping, because he's carried around in the Hug-a-Bub sling and because he's so damn cute. So its no big thing to have someone staring at him when we're in the lift back to the carpark. Of course she's staring. This is the cutest baby the world has ever seen. Who could resist him?

Imagine my distress when I put the Spud into the car and discover that aforementioned woman was not gawping at my son's beauty, but at the volume of thick white PUKE he had expectorated all over my hip "I really do have a place in the world and can get dressed before twelve" outfit.

Baby puke: its the new black.

  5. One of my girlfriends took forever to muster the courage to breastfeed in public...

and when she finally did she had a sense of relief, as her baby fell asleep in the mall, she was able to finish her shopping. She went everywhere in the mall, she felt liberated as her baby slept milky dreams.
The guy behind the counter was overly attentive to the new mom, as was the pharmacist, a whole new world for her...
And then she goes to leave the mall, and she is horrified...
She feels the cool, cool breeze on her breasts...
    Ahhh the joys of parenting!!!

  6. Em, yes Spud is still in the face-to-chest position but I think we'll be trying the facing out position soon. He's just too interested in his surroundings now.

Pendullum, that is too too funny.
