  1. I've been worried about you and not knowing what to do. I still don't, but please be strong. My mother-in-law, who has been living with horrendous health and personal problems, has been sober for two years and three months. It can be done.

You have done so much for me and I am so grateful. I'm proud of you, sweetie; we, your friends, are here for you every day.

    Much love,
    eve.

  2. Oh God, what Eve said! We are here, we will always be here! I can't imagine the physical pain and I can't imagine the psychological pain and there must be some astonishing amount of courage involved for you to admit you're an alcoholic. I'm so proud of you, I truly am, you've always been so brave and withstood so much, I have no doubt this is within your reach. I too know it can be done. In fact, I've seen it be done by people with far less guts than you so I know you will be your own one day again. I'll soon have a proper internet connection and then we can even skype if you want, my insomnia should help with the timezones but staying up anyway for you isn't a chore.
I know we're not as close as you and Eve or you and Manuela but you're a splendid egg, dahling, and I truly am fond of you. I'll do whatever I can, even if it's just listening. Don't fucking give up, you're bigger than you feel right now and if you can't see it turn to us, we'll know it for you and we'll show you.
    Portie hugs, babes, loads.

Comments make blogging a conversation, rather than mere self-indulgent navel-gazing. Look at that big empty space down there...just waiting for your thoughts.
