Looking to waste some time? Want to laugh until you cry?
Have a looksee at Baby's Named A Bad Bad Thing.
I think these people need to realise that since there are only 26 letters in the alphabet and 6 billion people on the planet, no matter how hard you try, finding a "unique" name for your child is pretty much a waste of time. Unless you WANT to saddle someone with Fijwytnogked. Which might actually be Finnish.
My favourite quote from this site:
I really like Freddy Prinze Jr. I heard his dad was really talented and died tragically. What was his name?
I love that site. Some of those names truly qualify for child abuse.
ReplyDeleteLast week my husband and I looked into the windows of his old grade school (I think you call it grammar school - it's where the little kids go) and on the board of the first-grade (six year olds') room was a large alphabet and the students' names - for example, under the letter P, there'd be Panda.
ReplyDeleteWe saw 'Troi' (like on 'Star Trek') and Kwentin. Plus the usual bevy of Briannas, Colins, etc.
I was very happy to see someone still named their son John.
I know... not that Lorem Ipsum is much better!
Fijwytnogked would only be Finnish if it was spelled Fiijwytnoogked and then it would likely be shortened to Mikko.
